Are you new to the wonderful world of loose-leaf tea? You have come to the right place! In this post we will be sharing some tips and tricks for choosing, brewing and enjoying your blend!

Step One: Finding the Right Blend

If you have never tried loose leaf tea (or herbal tea) before, it can be overwhelming to sort through all the flavors and blends the world has to offer. It can be helpful to order some sampling packs in order to try a bunch of flavors. This will allow you to pick your favorite(s) without wasting money on larger bags. It is also important to read about the ingredients to see if they provide what you are looking for (in terms of health benefits and/or flavor).

Step Two: Brewing

Once you have selected a blend it is time to steep your tea. The first step in brewing is preparing the tea. Depending on your blend, you will need either a re-useable/disposable tea bag or a tea infuser. We suggest basing this on the type of blend (unless you want a bunch of little tea pieces floating around)! For larger sized particles, either will be effective; yet for smaller particles (such as rooibos), a tea bag will be better suited. We suggest using one tsp. of tea per 8 oz. of water. Add the tea to the bag or infuser and boil the water in a pot. Once boiled, simply place the bag or infuser into a mug and pour the boiled water over it! It is as simple as that!

Step Three: Enjoy

Now that you are prepared to enjoy your blend, it is time to do just that! Take a moment to pat yourself on the back. You are officially a coinsurer of loose-leaf tea. Now then, what are you waiting for? Start enjoying!
